Seedlings need tons of space to run wild as their imaginations soar. Based at the main farmyard, we take care of animals in the shade, get drenched during water play, eagerly dig for treasures and more!
We also go on adventures to the creek and picnic in the shady forest. We follow the weekly themes with age-appropriate learning and crafting with natural materials.

The gem mining sluice will be working overtime this week! Smooth river rocks, pebbles, clay and sand of every strata are just waiting in the creek for collection and sorting! Panning for gold and gemstones is fascinating work and tons of fun. We learn pioneering skills, make soap, candles, and other hands-on projects. Cooking on an open-fire also brings joy and a sense of accomplishment during this action-packed week!
Let your little one enjoy our shorter version of Farm Camp. Our time outdoors is spent loving our smaller farm animals while in shaded areas, plus time for imaginative play and crafts. A loving, nurturing camp for your little one to immerse in nature, farm animals, and the work of children...play! We follow the weekly themes with age-appropriate learning and crafts.

Chickens & Feathered Friends Week! July 8 - 12
Donkeys & Llama Week! Aug 5 - Aug 9
"Seedlings" Ages 4-5
Our donkeys and llama are minature so not TOO big yet packed with personality. "Laverne and Shirley" are incredibly sweet and good natured. We groom, feed, and take them for walks in the woods. Little Red Dude is very curious and enjoys the attention as we say tuned with his friendly "banana ears." Donkey and llama-themed crafts, songs, and games add to this week's fun! EEEE-AAAWWWH!
Pioneering Skills Week! June 24 - 28
Little fluffy bunnies - need we say more? Our domestic lion-head bunnies are adorable and calm so campers can hold, care for, and learn all about them. Bunnies are sweet and always grateful for a blade of grass to nibble on (think "eating a spaghetti noodle one bite at a time") Ginger, and Muckley, the Kune Kune pigs, will be the stars of the show this week - more like a dog than a pig. A good tummy scratch and they are in heaven. Crafts, games, and other fun activities will have your little one hoppin' this week!

Sun Star Farm Camp - Summer Day Camp - 2025!
2025 UPDATED DETAILS & REGISTRATION OPEN ON 11/26 NOON
Step back in time, slow the pace of our hurried modern lifestyle and allow your children to unplug and unwind. We believe in nurturing children’s natural curiosity and love for nature. We heavily focus on play and allow children the space and time to live fully into their play.
All weeks include a ton of one-on-one animal time, gardening, crafting, hiking, creek adventures, songs, games and more! Our farm camp is split into four different age groups to allow for age-appropriate activities, stories, creative projects and learning opportunities. Each group has their own indoor and outdoor space to allow for flexibility and ease of adapting to the rhythm of the day to suit the needs of the children.
Camp Director, Heidi Watkins, a mother of three and educator, is on the farm at all times and is intimately involved in every aspect of the running of the camp and engaging the children at Sun Star Farm. Come and see why our camp is loved and attended by families year after year.
Featuring Special Guest Art Teacher, Limited to 12 Campers. More Details Here.
Note: Art Camp Fee is $475 to cover extra art supplies
WHERE CHILDREN GROW AT THEIR OWN PACE...
Did you know that gnomes and fairies live in our enchanted forest? See where and learn their clever ways! Make wooden gnome doors and see if they come at your house! Make fairy wands to help our magical friends in the forest. Expect your child's imagination to be awakened as we enjoy crafts, songs, games, and stories of these special little friends.
Pond and creek exploration leads the way as we discover many reptiles and critters hiding all around us. We safely and gently observe reptiles and insects throughout the week. A wonderful guest expert will bring a plethora of reptiles, spiders, and creatures for a highly educational presentation this week! Your child will see and may handle many types of non-venomous reptiles up close and personal! Ssssssoooo much fun!
Gnomes & Fairies Week! June 17 - 21
We can't enough of our sweet chickens this week as we feed, care for, gentle handle, and collect eggs. Our turkey, Tomalina, and ducks are stars of the show as well. We have a guest speaker coming at the end of the week to show off unique birds found in the wild. We have multiple coops throughout the farm so your child will visit all the ages: chicks, poulets and laying hens. Chicken-themed art, games, music about with our feathered friends!
Oaks are the "big kids" and explore the farm with the guidance of their loving counselors. Based at the cozy log cabin, we care for and learn about the animals, go creek stomping and exploring at our pond! We also shoot bows and arrows, cook over campfires, and play fun group games. We make unusual crafts with natural materials and techniques following the weekly themes.
